Re: I am want to meet a good man!
Ha ha ha ha. I was bored so I thought I'd get into the HTML code and figure out where that pic originated from, and where else it shows up on the internet. It appears to have been stolen from a dating site. Apparently this spammer has been going to all sorts of forums from mountain biking, to salt w...

Re: Streamlight Siege
Well I got my Siege in and have had some time to play around with it. I am actually pretty impressed! First off, it is smaller and more compact than what I was expecting. It is about the size of those single serving bullet blenders. You can tell this thing was made for rugged use. It is made out of ...

Thought I would review my favorite flashlight since I was on the subject of my favorite gear. I rarely ever take a Chinese knockoff over a USA made original. I was in the market for a tough, waterproof, compact tactical flashlight for my EDC (everyday carry) that wouldn't break the bank. You can eas...

So I have been in search for a quality LED lantern since my "Modern Survival" class at Blackthorn in December. I bought a pretty cheap Cabela's LED lantern and was less than impressed. I searched hard for a few days afterward, but suspended my search a few days afterward because nothing seemed to ju...

Offgrid and Recoil Magazines
Thought I would share these two amazing magazines. Since "prepping" seems to be gaining mainstream popularity, I always check the magazine section at Wal-Mart every random time I happen to find myself there. Last summer, I just was lucky enough to see the first issue of OffGrid. Now, as some TEOTWAW...

Re: Beware Sleeping Dragons
I'm sure you will want to read the sequel too. Its just as good, if not better. Also I think it is priced at 2.99. Let me know what you think of that first book!

Re: Bugout Dual-Sport Motorcycle
I have big plans for this bike this spring. Thought I would share them all with you guys. As it turns out, it is not a good idea to race the girlfriend home from the next town over and sustain a high rev and speed for more than a few miles. So now, the bike is getting a complete rebuild. And while i...

Recently read a book that I think you should at least give a look, especially with some of the recent stories in the news. It is a very short book (50 pages) that should only take an hour or a few depending on how fast you read. It is a great story that gets you thinking about some of the things we ...

Nearly Infinite Candle
Being touted as a Valentines Day Gift but it is a pretty interesting concept for a survivalist too.

Re: Bugout Dual-Sport Motorcycle
Thank you! Update, got the VIN verified by the state trooper since it was an out of state purchase. There was a box for off road use only and one for highway use and he checked the latter. I guess this confirms the theory of buying a dirt bike out of state that has ALREADY been tagged in that state ...

Bugout Dual-Sport Motorcycle
Here the last 3 or so months I have been doing some research on a nice bug out motorcycle that was just as capable on road as it was off road. I have ridden bikes since I was old enough to pull start a Briggs and Stratton (yes my first bike was a mini bike with a lawn mower engine). Anyway, I love t...

Re: DIY Solar Air Heating Panel w/pics!
Awesome post! I shared this with a guy at work that is building a deer blind out of wood and was looking for a way to heat it. I would be interested to see if lining your box with mylar behind the down spots would help or hurt? I may have to try this.
